Solar Thermal
We install new solar thermal systems and maintain and service existing systems.
A solar thermal system uses the sun’s heat to produce hot water with an efficiency of around 80%. In most cases the other heat sources i.e. boiler are not needed throughout the summer months at all providing a considerable annual saving on your fuel bills.
In addition to energy savings solar thermal is supported by the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme which provides a tax-free income for 7 years. The income will vary depending on the size and type of installation.
Ideally the installation site needs to be positioned in a sunny location orientated between east and west. Generally most existing boiler systems will be compatible with solar water heating.
